Write A Poem Or A Song! Think Before You Compromise!
“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.”
~ William Wordsworth
The Small Picture:
As the planet governing communication, early childhood learning and your intellect, siblings, and local transportation, Mercury’s function is to help you express yourself!
Therefore, Mercury’s energy is vitally important to help you hone your communication skills in order to develop into a successful happy writer, creative, and/or intuitive.
Never more than 28 degrees away from the Sun (one’s core ego identity), Mercury’s mission is to support your ego in a healthy way as this fleet-footed messenger of the gods runs either just in front of, next to, or behind the Sun.
Mercury enters the Venus-ruled sign of Libra–harmony, diplomacy, mediation, equality, partnership, indecisiveness, procrastination, and social “niceties” (no one sets a table better than Libra!)–before the Sun this month on September 2. Mercury remains in the sign of Libra until it moves into Scorpio on September 28.
You may find yourself writing poetry (love sonnets might be a good place to start!), song lyrics (ditto on the love emphasis), a diplomatic “dear John” letter, or simply agreeing to something about which you’d rather compromise than fight.
Be aware that working with Mercury’s energies can benefit you if you are seeking harmony, but if it’s harmony at all cost, you may want to think again. Libran energy is known to become passive/aggressive when it has compromised too much in order to prevent conflict.
If the result of that compromise is unhappiness, however, one ends up risking the very conflict he or she sought to avoid in the first place! Then you may become one very unhappy camper…on the other hand, you may find peace and harmony through negotiation and compromise around a matter that has caused conflict in the past.
Karmic Evolution’s Suggestion:
Write about any potential source of conflict to gain clarity and sort out how you really feel! Journal, write poetry (set to music maybe?), love letters (particularly to yourself!), and consider that anyone in your life with whom you communicate is really mirroring your own emotions back to you!
