Sagittarius New Moon December 7!

Posted by Sheri Horn Hasan - December 10, 2018 - Blog post

Light Up Your Wildest Dreams!

The Moon meets the Sun in the Jupiter-ruled sign of Sagittarius at 11:20 pm PT & 2:20 am ET on December 6 or 7th, respectively, depending on your time zone, and it’s time to let the good times roll–with some caveats…

Traditional astrology deems Jupiter the great benefic who bestows good luck, good fortune, and expansive blessings upon whomever it touches, whether by natal placement or by transit.

As with all archetypes, however, Jupiter has a darker side, which often manifests in the form of too much of a good thing, over-expansion, excessive over-optimism, or ungrounded exuberance. Like the 120-degree trine aspect between planets—often exemplified metaphorically by the ease of ice skating while the wind’s behind you—so can Jupiter’s energy sometimes bring us to the edge of the cliff or send us sailing over it, possibly with no parachute ensuring our safe landing.

Generally, though, Jupiter energy—and the energy of Sagittarius, the sign it rules—brings with it a rather optimistic, happy-go-lucky, glass is half full kinda orientation. You know, the sun’ll come out tomorrow type attitude…

Adventure–expanding one’s world through both formal education and learning via foreign travel & exposure to foreign languages and cultures–falls under the Jupiter/Sagittarian realm, as do philosophy, religion, media/publishing, politics, and law.

This Sagittarius New Moon is ruled by Jupiter, transiting now through its own sign of Sadge until December 2, 2019, when the king of the gods enters less inflationary Capricorn. This makes its energy even more optimistic & buoyant, & less prone to evaluating one’s situation realistically now.

Don’t Have A Dime But I Always Had A Vision

“Earnestness is enthusiasm tempered by reason.” ~ Blaise Pascal

Further compounding the issue of morphing potential inflationary desires into concrete reality is the fact that this Sagittarius New Moon is just past a square to a Mars/Neptune conjunction in Pisces.

Now it’s time to remember that—waaaaay back in ancient times, before the planet Neptune was discovered mathematically by Johann Gottfried Galle and Heinrich Louis d’Arrest in 1842, and by telescope in 1846—Jupiter was the traditional ruler of Pisces.

So, a correlation exists between this Sagittarius New Moon’s square to its traditional astrological ruler Pisces, leaving us to wonder how this enhances our interpretation of this square at this particular lunation.

The answer to that lies with Jupiter’s influence as Pisces’ ruler. Dreamy, empathic, charitable, & artistically-inclined, Pisces’s higher purpose revolves around recognizing our individual connection to a greater spiritual whole.

However, it’s darker side often raises its shadowy head through escapism, especially when the harsh glare & pain of reality might send us into depression, addiction, or some kind of imaginary world we deem safer than concrete reality…this shadow side may also occur through an incident of loss (including death), something with which both Jupiter & Pisces can be associated.

This energy was easily recognizable the day before this exact lunation—as the Sadge Sun exact squared Neptune in Pisces December 5—when America laid to rest one of its former leaders, President George Herbert Walker Bush. Veteran political operator Bush, also a decorated war hero whose plane was shot down at the age of 20 during WWII, was accorded a most honorable funeral as the entire nation shut down business for the day on December 5.

Pisces also indicates the ability to dream and to find in that dream the seeds of incarnate possibility. Mars in Pisces is not particularly proactive, though it can rise to a spiritual or religious cause. Many who are health practitioners—doctors, nurses, healers—and clerics, social workers, counselors, coaches, etc., &/or those who consider themselves spiritual warriors of one kind or another, resonate to this energy.

Converting our dreams into reality often proves problematic for many of us, so this lunation’s square to Mars, the god of action, and Neptune, an energetically spiritual, charitable archetypal energy that inherently understands no man is an island, might prove difficult.

Ah, but here’s the solution to an aspect that might cause us all to float away into our fantasies now, thus rendering planting the seeds of our grand plans and visions ultimately unsuccessful because they are not reality based:

Conjoined its ruler Neptune in Pisces—the traditionally Jupiter-ruled energy of two fishes yoked together but swimming in opposite directions—Mars is tasked with exerting his energies toward the conscious act of RECEIVING through meditation, prayer, visualization, and any of the creative arts which assist us in channeling our individual artistic nature…

Didn’t Know How But I Always Had A Feeling

Let’s say your dream at this Sagittarius New Moon is to start or grow a business into becoming increasingly abundant through the attraction of clients happy to pay for your products or services. Or perhaps you’re in the market for a new, better paying job, or simply one with better benefits. Maybe you’re looking to expand your happiness through a love relationship (after all, isn’t happiness a form of abundance?)

Regardless of our goal, it pays to understand that whatever we’re attempting to bring into concrete manifest reality must have a physical tangible component and that our aim, our end goal, is not an arrogantly selfish one, but rather has the spiritual health of the collective at heart.

We may choose to put the energy of the luminaries in square to Mars/Neptune in Pisces toward a crusade of some sort–be it religious, political, spiritual, or what have you—and use it to conquer the world for our own benefit so that we may rule.

But, if so, we should be mindful that the gift of Greek tragedy, the earliest form of drama, is that it warned us about hubris, or arrogance, and how this can become our Achilles heel leading to our ultimate downfall if we’re not careful…

In other words, if we myopically or narcisistically believe: “I alone can fix it,” do it, or accomplish it–without help from others or without their ultimate benefit in mind—this notion becomes our Achilles heel, or our greatest vulnerability. That’s because we can usually count on any opposition we rile up with this attitude to find a way to bring us down…

It pays to ask ourselves now: What or where is my Achilles heel, and how can I better work with this information/knowledge to accomplish my ultimate goals through humble acts rather than arrogant ones?

Meditation, prayer, & engagement in any creative endeavor will allow your higher self and authentic voice to come through and provide you with answers. As always, journaling or automatic writing may prove particularly helpful at this time as well! And, of course, pay attention to your subconscious when it speaks to your through your dreams, too…

Fulfill The Phrophecy…Go Make A Legacy

Mercury stationed direct in Scorpio December 6 hours before the Sagittarius New Moon, and becomes part of a grand water trine with wounded healer Chiron (retrograde) & Hygeia, female goddess of health, both in Pisces, and the Cancer North Node.

This creates an easy flowing energy that can allow us to process intuitively channeled information more easily now, so that we translate it into a spiritual KNOWING that allows us to move forward at this Sagittarius New Moon seed-planting time.

Beware however the hubristic notion that only your sensitivity counts, and not that of others. Grand trines can function as a kind of closed circuit, and in water reflect a potentially hyper-sensitive emotional nature. Bottom line: we may be more sensitive to ourselves than to others now, which is antithetical to any spiritually-oriented plan intended to help others heal…

Since Mercury’s direct now, it’s the perfect time to incorporate into this Sagittarius New Moon seed planting time any revisions to previous plans that will make them more workable and easily manifest going forward.

This means Mercury & Chiron/Hygeia also form sextiles to the Capricorn South Node. Sextiles represent opportunities, but they must be recognized or they may pass us by in the blink of an eye, as they say…

Mercury in Scorpio sextile the Capricorn South Node allows us to use our rational function to dig deeply into our unconscious and bring forth ways of communicating our grand plan to build a stronger foundation going forward. It also allows us the opportunity to let go of any nay-saying, nagging energies that might hold us back from giving credence to, or implementing, our ideas…

Chiron/Hygeia sextile the Capricorn South Node likewise presents the opportunity to heal our wounds—particularly those related to health, be it on a physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual level—by taking concrete steps forward in this regard. Channel now through your intuitive process what might work for you on the mainstream empirical level, as well as what to incorporate from the holistic realm.

It’s Uphill For The Oddities…The Weird & The Novelties

Venus, now in Scorpio, opposes Uranus retrograde in Aries, and both square the transiting karmic nodal axis in Capricorn/Cancer at this Sagittarius New Moon.

It’s difficult not to see the effects of this rapid shift in values within the collective at play now, both in the U.S. and around the world. Venus=values; Uranus=revolution or rapid change; square to the Nodes=triggers to collective humanitarian goals & desires, brought to a head through political, religious, or moral circumstances/revolutions rife with anger about inequality.

Whether it’s about sexual abuse in the church, higher taxes for basic necessities like fuel, or gender/religious/political differences among people, this Venus opposite Uranus square the Nodes configuration has been prevalent during the past few lunations.

Venus begins to move out of this configuration, though she acts as a bellwether for when Uranus reenters Taurus on March 6, 2019, which coincidentally occurs the day after the next Mercury retrograde in Pisces begins.

Where has revolution been brewing your life, particularly around the issue of inequality? Where do you feel like “I’m not gonna take it anymore!” or “something’s gotta give, gotta change!”

Chances are these are the growing tensions to pay attention to in your own sphere of life as you plant seeds now at this Sagittarius New Moon that contain the knowledge that you want to do it your way. As long as “your way” ultimately aims—like the Sagittarius archer—to strike a chord within the collective for greater healing…

Shooting For The Stars When I Couldn’t Make A Killing

The song High Hopes seemed the perfect one for this Sagittarius New Moon, written by Brendon Urie, lead singer for Panic! At The Disco, born April 12, 1987 @ 1:30 a.m. in St. George, Utah, who’s a Sagittarius Rising with both Saturn & Uranus in Sadge.

When High Hopes released…Brendon Urie tweeted: “I spent too long not setting my expectations high enough, worried about how it felt to fail. I hit a point when I realized I had to aim high and fail, fail, fail in order to keep growing. This one is for all of you who helped me go for it all. I thank you.”

Brendon Urie, Panic! At The Disco

High Hopes

“High, high hopes
Had to have high, high hopes for a living
Shooting for the stars when I couldn’t make a killing
Didn’t have a dime but I always had a vision

Aries New Moon, Mercury Direct, Chiron Into Aries!

Posted by Sheri Horn Hasan - April 19, 2018 - Blog post

Shoot For (Not At) The Moon

This Aries New Moon may have a shock or two in store for us–of the “change or be changed!” kind–when the two luminaries in this proactive fire sign collide with Uranus, the symbol of unexpected events, also in Aries.

There’s an awful lot of cardinal energy at this Aries New Moon, what with not

only the Moon, Sun, Uranus, & Mercury in Aries, but Saturn, Mars, & Pluto in Capricorn, too.

Cardinal energy is initiative and Aries energy impatient.

The Moon will meet the Sun at 27 degrees & 2 minutes of Aries @6:57 pm PT

& 9:57 ET on April 15 & go on to conjoin with Uranus about four hours later. To say this energy holds the potential to be explosive would be an understatement!

This Aries New Moon brings the two luminaries & Uranus together into the energy force field of the proactive & action-oriented warrior, athlete, or otherwise motivated individual. It’s meet up with Uranus indicates we may be impatient because on some level—conscious or unconscious–we know that we are ripe for some kind of change.

At March 31’s Libra Full Moon I suggested we all think about the following:

How can we find greater balance between going it alone & getting our own needs met?

Whatever answers you came up with at the time are part of what will hit home for you at this Aries New Moon. Whatever decisions you procrastinated making–or perhaps made too hastily–may come back to you now through some sort of change, particularly in the realm of partnerships.

Whenever Uranus is involved, we astrologers also know that the longer we’ve spent resisting change, the more sudden and surprising that change is likely to be. Some the questions you might want to ask yourself now include:

  •  Where have I been feeling frustrated, depressed, or dissatisfied with my life?
  • How has this made me feel: angry, frightened, impatient, sad, or in some other way unhappy?
  •  How do I process fear around the thought of change, and actual changitself? Do I resist it, welcome it, or something in between?

    Over The Moon…

So, remember I mentioned that Saturn, Mars, & Pluto are in Capricorn at this Aries New Moon? Well, not only that, but during the hours leading up to the Aries New Moon the Moon will square Saturn, then Mars, and then Pluto.

These past few days may have seemed up and down for some of us, and turbulence the name of the game. For those who pay attention to the national & international scene, U.S. President Trump last week said he wanted to pull U.S. troops out of Syria soon.

He then announced on Wednesday that he’d rain down missiles on Syria in retaliation for the gassing of its own citizens earlier this week. On Thursday he said he might OR he might not. Friday evening he launched the threatened missile strike, joined by French & British allies.

What’s THIS got to do with your life?

As I’ve noted before, it’s important for those of us attempting to grow in consciousness not to separate the outer world from the inner, but rather to integrate these two energies so that our inner self is in greater attunement with the world around us. If we create our own reality, then we must first define what that “reality” is, right?

So, we can use outer events—even those that may not happen TO us directly, yet still affect us in one way or another—to better understand how the collective’s energy has manifested externally.

In this case, as we’re approaching the exact joining of the Aries Sun to the planet Uranus on April 18–and it’s as this energy grows in strength that we’ll be experiencing the Aries New Moon on the 15th–we can tell what’s going on internally by recognizing how these energies manifest externally.

We can see how the past week or so has been filled with ups and downs, twists & turns, one step forward one step back type energy. And those who are metaphysically-minded also know that “as above, so below, as within so without, as the universe, so the soul…”

This Aries new Moon is a force to be reckoned with because it’s as if once the train has started down the track, it’s hard to stop it. Its forward motion is exacerbated by its pending meet up with Uranus because the combination of Mars (ruler of this Aries New Moon) & Uranus is like a speeding train (or missile) with no brake…

Evolution Vs. Revolution

Pluto in Capricorn has been about the long-term evolutionary trajectory of changing the way we do “business as usual.” Saturn in this sign of ambition & success tells us “slow & steady wins the race,” while Mars in Capricorn is like the general leading the army with deliberation, & planned & well thought out strategies designed to “win.”

While Mars continues to wax into an exact meet up with Pluto in Capricorn onApril 26, it pays to bear in mind that–although Capricorn energy is cautious,

slow, & steady—Mars/Pluto energy is extremely powerful, and not to be underestimated in its potential for explosiveness…   So, while this Aries New Moon challenges us to find new and innovative ways to allow change to happen–but through a measure of controlled action—it pays for us to be aware that Mars will increasingly push his call for action onto evolutionary-minded Pluto!

So, the message becomes both dichotomousand clear: change is coming, but how we decide to handle that change is up to each of us individually. If the spark that ignites change propels an unstoppable juggernaut into action, we might want to be sure it’s heading in the right evolutionary direction.

Therefore, how we all handle any resistance to change through clinging to old ways: mindsets, beliefs, loyalties, security (including to the material world) is key at this Aries New Moon.

If we’re blindsided now, all the more reason to let go; but only to the point where you can hang on loosely! Steering will become important as you go, so keep this mind: sudden actions, be they fortuitous or grievous, can still be handled, and handled well. The key is not to panic or to lose one’s head altogether…

Material Re-E-Value-Ation

Also at this Aries New Moon, Venus in Taurus opposes Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio. This tells us that our values are up for E-VALUATION, and as we pursue our evolutionary course, hopefully consciously, we may also contemplate where or how our values may be out of sync with our true soul’s needs.

   Huh?

This means we can all ask ourselves the question now: Is what we think wewant really what our soul truly needs?

This is always the case with frictional Venus/Jupiter aspects. Jupiter expands, Venus wants what makes her feel good. Both are well-advised to stop and ask whether it’s quantity that will bring true happiness, or quality…

Venus trines Pluto now, too, and from Taurus to Capricorn can be a grounding influence. Just as the slowly building Capricorn Mars/Pluto energy will eventually counterbalance the quickness of Uranus at this Aries Full Moon & beyond, so may this trine temper it as well.

Remember, however, that Mars/Pluto is about evolutionary change while the more fleeting Venus/Jupiter energy is about our true values. And Venus, of course, is also about relationships…

As the Aries New Moon takes up where the March 31 Libra Full Moon left off, it also pays for us to ask whether we find more success in going it alone or together. And, either way, what is our evolutionary end-goal?

Mercury Direct–Wiser Through The Ages!

Mercury stations direct early morning April 15, about 16 hours before the Aries New Moon exacts, and this coming week communication should slowly begin to return to normal.

Wait, watch, & listen for it—your phone will ring, your email will ping, your texts will chime, and letters appear in your mailbox…it’s almost like all will return to normal.

As you begin to wind your way back into the flow of all things communicative, remember this: you’ve just spent 21 days during which your left brain has been suspended, and your right brain reigned supreme.

This is primarily why so many astrologers caution against signing contracts, buying high ticket items, etc.—for fear that our normally logical, empirically-oriented brains will miss the details, the small print, the bottom line.

And often this is true, but let’s remember also that this has been a period during which our psyches have brought up from our subconscious into consciousness important messages from our soul’s higher self. Likewise, objectively learned information was transferred down into the unconscious to become embedded there as true wisdom.

And it’s this wisdom that will be carried with your soul into future lifetimes, just as the wisdom from prior lifetimes was embedded in your psyche to make you as wise as you are today! (Don’t snicker—regardless of any mistakes you feel you’ve made since birth in this incarnation, your soul has to have learned a thing or two from past life karma!)

Saturn Retrogrades & Chiron Into Aries April 17

This coming week will see Saturn station retrograde, Chiron move into Aries– both on April 17–and on April the Sun moves into harmonizing Taurus.

The keyword for Taurus archetypal energy is “serenity,” and hopefully this is what we we’ll all strive for during the next month.

Saturn’s retrograde period—which lasts until September 6—is a one during which if anyone or anything leaves our life it means they were not instrumental to our future growth…in consciousness…

Any departure now—of a person, a job, a material possession—means you have no use for them or it in the future, and the astrological advice is to let it go…often this is one of the hardest lesson to learn…

Yes, it’s true that Saturn can bring tears, sadness, isolation, lonliness, &depression, but please, please, pleaseremember that his mission is ultimately a positive one: to help us all understand that we can make it on our own!

This is to say we don’t need anyone or anything—contrary to what our feelings may tell us—to survive. And, as time passes, not only does a departure create space for a new arrival, but being able to stand on our own means we get to choose who and what we want in our lives rather than simply having to accept what we get!

How glorious to know that if the world were to disappear right in front of our very eyes, we’ve got what it takes to survive because we are our own best friend, nurturer, and authority!

Saturn always says “the buck stops here,” and his purpose is to mature us ot the point where we can sustain any setbacks and not only survive, but thrive, because we always know we have ourselves to depend on and trust.

   And that’s a good thing…

Chiron’s another story, as he moves from the watery Piscean domain he’s inhabited for the past eight years into fiery independent proactive Aries energy on April 17 until June 19, 2026. (He will retrograde back into Pisces twice during this period, but more on that anon…)

Chiron’s move into Aries tells us all the time is ripe to begin (or continue) to heal wounds around any inability to express our personal will, be it on a mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual level.

So plant new seeds now at this Aries New Moon that state your intentions: if you’ve been too dependent on others for your own happiness, use this time to nurture & grow self-confidence & self-love.

If you’ve been too independent, & in being this way denied your own need for nurturing, take this Aries New Moon opportunity to institute into your life some self-care and perhaps explore where you might unburden yourself through the help of another or others.

Let’s face it, most of us did not come here to be alone. But neither did most of us come here to remain co-dependent our whole lives. Use the enegies of this potentially explosive change-oriented Aries New Moon to recognize in what area of life change is necessary, roll with it, but then seize the tiller & navigate your way toward your desired evolutionary future!

Here’s a song that I think perfectly fits this Aries New Moon energy:
Bob Dylan’s revolutionary ode, covered by Tracy Chapman

The Times They Are A’Changin’

Tracy Chapman

“Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown

And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you
Is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’
Or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won’t come again

And don’t speak too soon
For the wheel’s still in spin
And there’s no tellin’ who
That it’s namin’
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin’

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don’t stand in the doorway
Don’t block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be who has stalled

The battle outside ragin’
Will soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin’

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don’t criticize
What you can’t understand

Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin’
Please get out of the new one
If you can’t lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin’

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast

As the present now
Will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin’
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin’…”
~ Bob Dylan

Saturn Stations Direct August 13

Posted by Sheri Horn Hasan - August 13, 2016 - Astrology

If you’ve been feeling a little unsteady lately–or better yet a little stuck—you may well be able to chalk it up, as Saturn stations direct August 13, to Saturn’s recent retrograde since March 25.

Saturn is about maturity. Saturn is about wisdom. Saturn is about being your own best adult and your own best parent. Saturn is about getting the job done, and done well.

Saturn is NOT about fun, gaiety, light-heartedness, or frivolity!

An archetypal energy also often related to work–be that work literal, metaphorical, external, or internal— Saturn also helps us better define our ego.

And what’s the definition of ego? Well, according to my go-to source, Merriam Webster Dictionary, it’s “one of the three divisions of the psyche in psychoanalytic theory that serves as the organized conscious mediator between the person and reality, especially by functioning both in the perception of and adaptation to reality”

So Saturn functions in our chart as one of the energies that helps us to “mediate” between our inside and outside worlds. And this energy helps us to develop our belief system about life and the world around us.

Saturn is the archetypal energy that propels us toward success in order that we may carry out our “job”—one each of us has been tasked with since birth…

And what is that “job” we all need to do so well?

Well, damn, girl, it’s about growing in consciousness! An activity most decidedly easier said than done!

Giving Up…

What happens during Saturn’s retrograde period?

When Saturn stations retrograde, we are tasked with the chore of breaking down a part of our ego structure and rebuilding it.

“Wherever Saturn is transiting in our horoscope we are molding and shaping new boundaries and creating dimension and form, but periodically this type of development internalizes and incubates, resulting in a feeling of stuck-ness and immobility,” writes Erin Sullivan in her book “Retrograde Planets.”

This period may coincide with feelings of loss, as relationships, jobs, material possessions—or anything to which we have a concrete commitment in Saturnine terms—may fall away.

The purpose of such loss, however, is to create space for something new to come into our lives. Saturn’s seriousness here is steadfast. As mentioned, he’s not about taking the easy road to success. Rather, he’s the harsh taskmaster in us all calling us to do our homework, take out the garbage, and basically take care of business before we can get down to the Leonine business of play!

The universe is benign, I always say, and has no vested interest in making us suffer. It provides us every moment of every day the opportunity to grow in consciousness. It is our CHOICE whether or not to heed those calls.

Personifying the archetype of Saturn (or any other planet for that matter) is merely a literary technique meant to help others imagine or visualize this particular energy associated with this particular archetype.

When Saturn retrogrades—as he does annually for approximately five months (though it will be approximately nine months before he gains enough speed again to reach the degree at which he stationed retrograde)—his mission is always the same: to assist our growth in consciousness.

If You Love Me, Don’t Let Go…

During this period any loss translates into some kind of ending. You may recognize this ending immediately, or it may take some going deep. This will depend on where Saturn is transiting your chart since he stationed retrograde on March 25 (i.e., what house or houses) and whether or not he’s in aspect to any planets or sensitive points in your natal chart.

By the end of the retrograde period, and as Saturn begins to develop momentum in the sky over the next month or so, we may look back and recognize that life goes on. This will begin to dawn on us, even if at times during the retrograde period we felt the world a bleak, desolate, or simply stagnant, place.

What we do know with certainty is that once Saturn begins his forward motion again, we are tasked with the work of filling the void now created by the disappearance or loss of whomever or whatever deserted us during the retrograde period.

Where we once felt like this:

“Mama, come here
Approach, appear…
Daddy, I’m alone
‘Cause this house don’t feel like home…

If you love me, don’t let go
Whoa, if you love me, don’t let go…”

We may now begin to realize that “if you love me, don’t let go” is actually a mantra best used to help us rebuild better, stronger, more lasting internal foundations for relationships, jobs, or other commitments through a stronger sense of commitment to ourselves!

This is crucial and makes it quite understandable why Saturn is not an energy known to f%$k around…why would he when the stakes are so high?

As Erin Sullivan writes, “…the station retrograde does affect the deeper layers of the psyche, wherein the transformation will occur.”

And it’s this transformation into self-sufficient, independent, mature, wise adults on the inside so that we may reflect this energy back to ourselves from those with whom we associate on the outside, that Saturn’s archetypal energies—retrogrades and all—are about!

The Push Forward After Saturn Stations Direct

As Saturn regains speed in the short term, reviewing the deeper meaning of any losses, changes, or broken commitments is the order of the day. We may begin to emerge from our isolation and to carry on…

However, we can carry on with regret and depression (looking back), with anxiety about the future, OR we can use the energy of the ego-identified Sun currently transiting through the sign of Leo to co-create our own futures by committing ourselves to living in the moment.

If you’re tired of being alone, begin to realize that you are your own best friend. If you’re suffering the loss of a love relationship, friendship, job, material possessions, etc., recognize this was stifling your ability to grow.

Saturn’s energies are physical, concrete, and about the empirical world of form. Just because you may not yet see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. It’s always our perceptions that count, and while Saturn is in Sagittarius we may be changing these perceptions…

By the time Saturn reaches 16 degrees Sagittarius—the degree at which it stationed retrograde on March 25, something new will have been born to take the place of whatever may have disappeared during the retrograde period.

Upon Saturn’s station direct “one might feel as if moving in slow motion,” writes Sullivan. “It takes much time for Saturn’s message to be incorporated into the conscious mind, but it is assured that the nine-month process of seeking, gestation, and birth has occurred.

“Something new has been born, but it will need a few months to come consciously manifest,” Sullivan adds. “Very gradually, new ego structures can be created…”

Uranus Stations Direct December 25!

Posted by Sheri Horn Hasan - December 26, 2015 - Astrology
The planet Uranus stations direct and is virtually motionless for another two days or so. When he begins to gather speed–having now made it more than halfway through his 7-year journey into the sign of Aries–his message is about incorporating change into your life…
Who Are You?
Since Uranus stationed retrograde on July 26, 2015, you may have begun to contemplate acts of rebellion through reception of revelations.
Rebellion against what?
Rebellion against not finding out who you are really meant to be in this lifetime, and/or against not being who you truly are .

Rebellion against the old way, the old belief system, the old regime.
The trick here is to cast off some of the bonds by which you’ve kept yourself imprisoned in ways that don’t allow you to be true to yourself and the real you…

…there are many reasons why this can be a tough journey for so many of us…reasons that involve many different energies & hark back our natal energies (or the ones into which we chose to be born.)
So rebellion for one person can look entirely different from rebellion to another person. But again, casting off the yoke of other people’s perceptions of you–or your own perceptions of yourself that do not truly mirror the real you, is the energy in play right now…
Uranus and Pluto have been squaring each other off and on in the sky for the past 3-4 years and they’ve called on us in the collective to work toward rebelling against the system as it is, a.k.a., business as usual.
Business as usual is crying out for change and Uranus in Aries is the energy that obliges that call…

No Foolin’ Who Are You — Really?
If you’re like most people, you are resistant to change. Like moi, Madame Taurus who loves to sit in the yard and munch on the grass while watching the world go by, you may also prefer everything to remain basically ever unchanged.
Well, the universe doesn’t like stagnation or stasis, so when the energy of resistance to change builds up to a boiling point — BOOM! Something’s gotta give…

And when that something gives we can usually trace it to a transit of Uranus.
So where can you think just a little bit differently? What can you do just a tad less conventionally from how you’ve done it before? Where can you think outside the box and envision the ideal coming to earth and manifesting as real.
Yes, these are energies and concepts that are hard to grasp hold of on a more physical or concrete mundane level. And, of course, they can be quite unsettling as well…
But once you’ve seen the light can you ever really go back to be being blind; once you’ve become unbound can ever not be free?
We can never make the ideal entirely real…but we can catch a glimpse of paradise and then incorporate this energy into a new way of being; one that simply brings our soul closer to experiencing positive change & growth!

In reality Uranus is all about being your own person. An individual in a society that often prizes the collective. So it takes a lot of energy & it takes a lot of strength, but Uranus in Aries has both of these with good measure to spare…
So think about it. Where can change best benefit you now and in the coming two-and-a-half years until Uranus enters the sign of Taurus and the energetic dynamic changes once again?
So, no kiddin’—really? WTF are you?
